1. Turmeric

Turmeric is good for skin as it contains curcumin that removes free radicals and improves collagen production needed for supple and glowing skin. Take 1 tsp of turmeric powder and mix it with 4 tsp of gram flour. Add milk or water to the mixture and make a paste. Apply the paste on your skin and leave it for 15 minutes after which you can wash the paste with normal water. Do it twice a week.

Nourish your skin with coconut oil, if it is dry and dull. Coconut oil will enrich your skin with fatty acids and lock moisture. Also, it will enhance skin barrier function that will protect your skin from UV rays. Apply virgin coconut oil all over your face and neck at bedtime and leave it for overnight. Use warm oil and repeat it every night.

3. Aloe Vera

The healing and nourishing properties of aloe vera are well known. And you only need making a paste with 1 tsp aloe gel, a pinch of turmeric powder, 1 tsp honey and 1 tsp milk. Apply this face pack for 20 minutes before rinsing it with lukewarm water. Do it twice a week to get a glowing skin.

4. Baking Soda

Wear baking soda paste to exfoliate dead skin cells. It will balance your skin’s pH and prevent infections. Take 1 tsp baking soda and add 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil and half tsp honey. Apply this paste on your face and neck in circular motion for 10 minutes and rinse it with cold water. Do it once a week. Also, don’t forget doing a patch test for baking soda as it can be allergic to your skin.

Apply lemon to get a brighter and radian skin. Make a paste of 2 tsp of lemon juice and 2 tsp of sugar and apply it for 10 minutes and wash it with warm water. Vitamin C in lemon will remove tan and sugar will exfoliate the dead cells. Wear sunscreen after lemon treatment as it can make skin photosensitive

Papaya has a great exfoliating effect and when mixed with Fuller’s earth and honey, it becomes an amazing anti-aging cream for skin. Take a few pieces of ripe papaya and mix them with 1 tsp of Fuller’s earth and 1 tsp of honey. Apply this paste on your face for 20 minutes and rinse with cold water. Papain in papaya will bring out the radiant skin from under the dead cells. Fuller’s earth will act as a cleansing agent and honey will remove skin blemishes. Continue this therapy every week.

7. Cucumber

Cucumber has a cooling effect on skin. It rejuvenates skin with antioxidants and reduces swelling. Take 1 small grated cucumber and mix it with 2-3 tsp yogurt. Apply this past on your face for 5 minutes and wash it with cold water. Repeat it every 4 days to get improved complexion.

Honey moisturizes skin. To feel its soothing effect, you can apply skin all over your face for a couple of minutes and wash it with lukewarm water. Repeat this therapy every alternate day to get a glowing skin.

9. Ubtan For Healthy Glowing Skin

Ubtan has been in culture since centuries. It is a face pack made with lentils, rice and oatmeal. It is a coarse mixture but great for removing dirt and dead cells from skin. Also, it has turmeric that gives natural glow and almonds that nourish the skin with essential oil. Grind 1 cup masoor dal or besan with one-fourth cup raw rice and some almonds. Also, add half-cup oatmeal and a pinch of turmeric to it. Add water or rose water to make a paste. Apply the paste until it is dry and wash with normal water. It can be used once a week.
