Three Bedtime Drinks For Weight Conscious Folks

Following a strict night time regime like having dinner before 8 p.m., eating light and restricting carbs can certainly help in getting in shape but you can do magic with your weight loss, if you know the secret bedtime drinks that make it easier for you to lose weight.

The three drinks, we’ll discuss here, are easy to make and they are good for detox too.

1. Quick fix cinnamon tea

Cinnamon tea has a sweeter taste that can compensate for your cravings for sweets before going to bed. Also, it contains antioxidants and inflammation reducing properties. Cinnamon contains a chemical named cinnamaldehyde that boosts metabolism rate. In this way, it will keep your body working and burning fat all the time. But the bigger advantage of cinnamon is the presence of satiety hormone that will give a feeling of fullness and reduce food cravings and hunger pangs that is a big help in maintaining a strict diet schedule.

Prepare cinnamon tea:

Boil a cup of water and add cinnamon powder to it. Keep it boiling until the water simmers down. Finally, stain and transfer the tea in a cup. You can add a little honey to the tea for a sweeter taste or to reduce the strong aroma of cinnamon. Drink it for at least a fortnight 20-30 minutes before bedtime.

2. Cucumber-parsley smoothie

Cucumber-parsley juice contains lots of hydrating content. It will detox your system, if you feel bloated and full. Also, it is good for weight loss for which it is recommended as a bedtime drink. Cucumber carries low calories and fat content (0.35 grams) but it is high on vitamins A, B and K and folate. Parsley as a natural diuretic flushes out toxins and extra fluid from body. Also, it maintains blood sugar and improves digestion.

Prepare cucumber-parsley juice:

Mix pieces of chopped cucumber and a few springs of parsley. Blend them well in a mixer. For flavor, add a small piece of ginger and lemon juice to the cucumber-parsley juice.

3. Fenugreek tea

Fenugreek or methi seeds are an important ingredient of every kitchen. It is a powerhouse as it packs powerful functional compounds with antioxidants and anti-inflammatory properties. Drinking a glass of fenugreek water can recharge your immunity and boost metabolism. Also, it is great for doing natural detox. 

Prepare fenugreek tea:

Boil one or two teaspoon of methi seeds until the seeds become pale in color. Now the drink is ready to sip. But you can add jaggery powder to the tea to improve its taste.
