The quantity of product when compared to the price is amazing! It comes in a huge tub. Just looking at this tub brings about instant joy in me!! Well who will not like cost effective stuff!! The consistency is creamy and spreads easily on hair. Matrix Biolage ultra hydrasource aloe hydrating masque is easy to spread even over dry hair. But I prefer applying on damn hair. 3 scoops cover up my whole hair. Curlies with very dense hair might need more quantity.

Conditioning:

Now comes the conditioning part. I like the way hydrasource aloe hydrating masque moisturizes and conditions hair without weighing it down and turning it greasy. It is definitely more conditioning than our usual rinse-off conditioners. On days when I feel that my hair needs that extra moisture and I am not up for doing a DIY hair treatment, I either apply this hair mask on its own or mix it with few drops of olive or coconut or gingelly oil and apply for 20-30mins. I always cover my hair with a shower cap or plastic cover. And I always love the results. So this hair mask gets a thumbs up from me!

It is easy to rinse it off and it gives hair a silky feel while washing which indicates that hair is moisturized. Once we are done with using this mask, we can effortlessly skip our rinse off conditioner and move on to the leave-in and styling product. That said, please don’t expect miracles. This is a deep conditioner which works for one wash. Hair is moisturized but you still need to refresh your hair following day. Well deep conditioning keeps your hair healthy and moisturized and doesn’t really let you skip your styling products.

Cons:

• Refreshing hair is needed from the following day. Though hair feels soft it doesn’t control the frizz till next wash!
• Not travel friendly since the tub is huge, well I still carry it along.

It is a highly cost effective deep conditioning hair mask that turns hair soft and moisturized. It is also silicone free therefore a definite yes to try this. Quick fix when you are particularly lazy to do a DIY. If you are new to deep conditioning and don’t know where to start, then this Curly Girl friendly hair mask would be the perfect thing to start with. This is silicone-free as well as paraben free!!
